Every morning, millions of Illinois students wake up and prepare to go to school. Approximately, 25,700 of these students are enrolled in more than 310 quality agricultural education programs preparing them for future careers in the agriculture, food, fiber, fuel and natural resource industry. A majority of these students, 17,520 of them have also chosen to be a part of FFA, Illinois’ largest Career and Technical Student Organization.
We are writing to ask for your support of the Illinois FFA and agricultural education through the 2014-2015 Illinois Foundation FFA Collection Drive. Our collection drive goal is $470,000. Our local chapter goal towards the state goal is $1,750. The FFA mission: FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. I hope you will help us achieve our mission of positively impacting students through your gift. The Blue Ridge FFA Chapter is partnering with the Illinois Foundation FFA, business owners like yourself, caring individuals, sponsoring committee volunteers, and agriculture teachers to conduct a statewide collection drive to support the leadership, career development and recognition programs of FFA at the chapter, section, district and state levels. Can we count on your support for students by providing a tax deductible contribution this year? Blue Ridge FFA really reaped the benefits of these donations as we had several members receive plaques and awards on behalf of the Illinois FFA Foundation as well as attend many conferences and conventions! Thank you for your investment in the future by supporting the FFA programs that prepare tomorrow’s agricultural leaders, food producers, food processors and natural resources stewards. Contributions may be made payable to the Illinois Foundation FFA and sent to: Ms. Kirsten Blackford, 411 N John Street, Farmer City, IL 61842 no later than December 31, 2014 or by making an online donation at http://www.illinoisffafoundation.org/Donate/. With Sincere Appreciation, Blue Ridge FFA Officer Team: Gabby, Taylor, Victoria, Noah, Katrina, Chase and Ms. Blackford
